For starters, you will enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of theWrangell Narrows, Devil's Thumb and Perersburg Harbor, right from the Nordic House deck. The snowcapped, purple mountains of the Alaska Coast Range, set against the back drop of a vivid blue Alaskan sky are unparalleled in their beauty on a nice day.

Like the water? The protected waters of the Inside Passage and, specifically, Frederick Sound at Petersburg, create a placid stage on which sunlight dances by day and on which moonlight casts an ethereal, silvery glow on the evening tide.   The water on such days calms the mind and soothes the spirit.

If the water itself isn't sufficient distraction, perhaps the occasional whale spotted frolicking in the Sound or a spectacular iceberg drifting on the tide will pique your interest!
